About Me

Hi, you've stumbled upon the personal website of me, Gerard McGarry. This is the part where I tell you a little bit about myself.

I worked in IT from 1999 until 2008, when I went full-time with Unreality TV, the entertainment blog network I created with my wife Lisa. I'm engaged in building up the music blog and the community aspects of the site such as forums and social features.

Aside from the web geekery stuff, I love music, movies and books. I like stuff that makes you think about the established order - Chuck Palahniuk is quite good at that - read Fight Club, Survivor, Invisible Monsters for proof.

Currently, I'm looking seriously at what makes community sites tick, and experimenting with Drupal to create a knockout social site. Watch this space.
